Owner/Developer
James is a Marine Corps veteran with 22 years of aviation experience. He decided to follow his passion for designing games. He played numerous computer games, from fantasy role-playing to military war games, throughout his life. James had the opportunity to be contracted by FUNCOM game studio Onslow Norway, where he was successful in developing two well-known dungeons, “The Wine Cellar” and “Warmaker” for the popular Conan Exiles Survival game. James' passion for games and his creative abilities set him on a journey to found the Indie game company, Four Paws Game Studio LLC, with his fellow military veteran Maurice Anderson.

Maurice is what happens when a tech wizard accidentally rolls a natural 20 in storytelling. With over 30 years in IT—including stints in R&D for not one, not two, but four Fortune 500 companies—he's the guy you call when your server’s on fire... or when you need a thousand-year backstory for a magical spoon.
Though his roots are in hardware (don’t get him started on airflow and cable management), everything changed in 1999 when he clicked “Play” on a little MMORPG called EverQuest. For a kid raised on Pong and Atari, it was like witnessing the discovery of fire, sliced bread, and dragons—all at once. The addiction was immediate. The quest, eternal.
But the true turning point came with a game called Landmark—a digital sandbox where creativity had no leash and world-building was the name of the game. That experience didn’t just light a spark—it lit a bonfire. It led Maurice to team up with co-founder James and gather a fellowship of like-minded creators like Paul and Julia, forming what is now Four Paws Game Studio.
As Lore Master, Maurice can turn the history of a rusty doorknob into an epic saga of betrayal, redemption, and slightly magical hinges. His storytelling is the beating heart of the worlds they build—worlds that feel ancient, alive, and slightly suspicious of outsiders.
The journey’s been long, sometimes chaotic, often caffeine-fueled—but every pixel has been worth it.
World Designer & 3D Artist
Paul is a practicing architect with over 25 years of professional expertise. Experience and education in this field has provided a fundamental base to segway into a passion for designing digital spaces for human enjoyment. He’s always had a hobby of playing a variety of games, from open world / sandbox, fantasy role-playing, MMO’s as well as first person shooters throughout his life. Paul initially got into game design and modding with Unreal Engine with the popular Conan Exiles survival game. He has successfully created and produced three content and map mods, Caverns of Set, Ymir’s Respite, and the Shemite City-State, each with thousands of steam subscribers. Paul's passion for digital creation and his unique design and modeling capabilities set him on the path to help join in with fellow colleagues on the Indie game company, Four Paws Game Studio LLC.

Julia has been in software development for over 13 years with a passion for video games, music, and anime. I met my crazy lovable team from all the years of playing Conan Exiles and from there I have forged a friendship to outlast time itself. This project has been a total eyeopener in the world of game design with all the moving parts and variables. We're hoping to bring back the enjoyment of playing games for all ages to come from Four Paws Gaming Studio.
